iBex Facepad Runs Android 2.2, Supports Flash 10.1 has iPhone 4 Bevels

PRLog (Press Release)– Mar 20, 2011– When I first got my hands on the longly awaited iBex Facepad for review I did not want to put it down, not even to go to the restroom.

The first thing that caught my attention as I peeled off the screen protector and housing plastic was the glossy black back and smooth bevels.

I have seen other wannabe iPad Android Tablets, a.k.a. epad, apad, flytouch3, superpad II, china ipad, but functionality and appearance-wise the Face Pad takes the cake.

The Facepad is the only 10-inch Tablet PC that runs Android 2.2 froyo, Supports Flash 10.1 and also has GPS navigator built-in. Not to mention built-in web camera.

In addition to the Android 2.2 upgrade this apad tablet improves on its predecessors by adding 4gb of Nandflash, instead of 2gb, and 512mb DDR instead of 256mb.

The screen is more fluid and there is no need for the annoying registration number the other 10-inch tablet such as the Flytouch2 required. GPS navigation is pre-installed and it also has the official google android marketplace.

To start off my testing I decided to look through the games on the Google Market and quickly installed the new edition of Angry Birds Seasons. Already being fairly addicted to Angry birds on the iPad I was interested to see how the 700 USD iPad would compare to Angry Birds on this 2.2 Froyo Tablet PC.

Straight away I was quite shocked at how fluid and smooth the fun little game was playing on the Facepad, and started imaging just how many iPad users could have saved themselves hundreds of bucks by not bothering to buy an iPad to get their "Angry Birds Seasons download". In a nutshell Angry Birds plays perfectly on the iBex Facepad, so far so good.

Next I decided to check out some You Tube video browsing and playback performance. Being quite a YouTube addict I can easily fritter away hours just browsing Tube videos one after another. So I'm quite fussy on the whole You Tube experience I can get from my PC and picky as to how good online video is on this Froyo Android tablet.

With the hardware decoding obviously playing a significant role in displaying the You Tube videos I was literally blown away by the frame rates and image quality of the Facepad's screen and video performance. I've not felt like I'm watching a TV before when using a tablet until now. No other tablet I have used, including my iPad has felt as fluid as the iBex Facepad.

I will continue my review of the iBex Facepad next week and will also have a video review as well.
